The Octafuzz pedal is a precise, exacting copy of the world-renowned and glorious Tycobrahe Octavia. Sweet octave up sounds a la Jimi Hendrix's "Band of Gypsies" and Stevie Ray Vaughan's many live Performances! Built in a 14 gauge steel housing with a gorgeous Ranar Blue gloss powdercoat finish and antique white logo, this pedal is the second coming of the Tycobrahe Octavia.
The Full Tone Octafuzz might be the finest Fuzz / Distortion box I offer...and it's creation was a mistake. One of my employees forgot to finish a connection, I plugged the pedal in to test it, and I immediately knew we were onto something special. So I decided to make the "mistake" switchable.
Rich in dynamics, FAT tones, singing feedback and thick sustain at any volume, and still the same price.
The Fulltone Octafuzz is functionally IDENTICAL to the Tycobrahe Octavia in every aspect including layout arrangement, transistor brand, transformer, specs, etc... totally identical to the vintage Tycobrahe Octavia of Landau and SRV fame. The original Tycobrahe was a direct copy from one of Hendrix's 3 Octavio pedals built by the Tycobrahe PA company of Redondo Beach, CA in the early '70's. There are numerous classic restored $1000 or more Tycobrahes that have Full Tone Octafuzz guts because they are 100% exact in sound and looks. I built 25-30 in the early Fulltone days. A lot of pedals might approximate the legendary Octavia, but you'll NEVER get as close to the real thing than the Fulltone Octafuzz.
