The Manuel Rodríguez ECOLOGÍA series harks back to the European guitar-making tradition of our great-grandfathers.
At that time, wood that grew on the doorstep and was available was used. It was only much later that the international trade in timber, particularly tropical timber, replaced the local woods that had proven themselves over decades.
It is precisely because it is inspired by these traditions that the ECOLOGÍA series is eco-responsible and clearly stands out from other guitars: not a single tropical wood, only European woods such as spruce, walnut, maple and acacia, the use of a water-based eco-matt varnish .
As far as sound is concerned, instruments made by hand in Europe are moderately tuned and designed for a balanced sound . This is due in particular to the traditional dovetail neck construction, which, in addition to high stability, guarantees very good vibration transmission.
A special feature of all Manuel Rodríguez 4/4 guitars is the GEWA armrest , which offers two major advantages: it ensures a particularly pleasant playing feel thanks to its rounded shape and allows the soundboard to vibrate freely over its entire surface, preventing the arm from damping the vibrations.
