The ACADEMIA series is the first series in the Manuel Rodriguez range , the one with an authentic Spanish heel , the cream of the crop in guitar making.
This particular method of manufacturing allows the neck to join, in a single piece, the body of the guitar and to be directly connected to the sides, the back and the top, ensuring not only great stability , but also optimal transmission of vibrations , a faster response and a longer sustain .
The soul of the Spanish guitar.
The four 4/4-size models in the ACADEMIA series are distinguished by their different decorative elements and the materials used for the top and sides. It's all about seeing, hearing, and feeling what you prefer.
Although they belong to a moderate price range , ACADEMIA instruments are entirely handmade in Europe and are mainly characterized by their mahogany neck with an ovangkol fingerboard, their nut and bridge handmade from oiled vintage bone, and the natural water-based high-gloss varnish.
The GEWA armrest is another feature common to all Manuel Rodríguez 4/4 guitars. It offers two major advantages: a very pleasant playing feel thanks to its rounded shape, and freedom of vibration across the entire surface of the soundboard, preventing the resting right arm from absorbing vibrations.
More sound, more comfort.
