The roasting of wood has become a very popular trend, amongst musical instrument manufacturers, as it simulates 25 plus years of age and dryness. While Fender has been roasting necks and bodies in their Custom Shop, this is the first time they’ve ever done a roasted guitar in a standard US production run, and they’re only making 200 of this Limited Edition 1956 Ash Stratocaster - for the entire world.

Built to traditional 1956 specs, this is perhaps the best US production Strat I’ve ever heard. It feels great in the hands with a responsive touch, and a tonality that will please even the pickiest of Strat enthusiasts. Powered by American Vintage ’56 Strat pickups, Fender has satisfied the masses with a modern wiring scheme whereas one tone controls the neck pickup, and the other controls the bridge and middle, all routed through a 5 way selector. For added splendor, this Strat has a Black anodized metal pickguard and looks striking.
