Not a piezo, the unique flexible sensing material in the pickup features integrated active electronics and picks up not only string vibration but also top and body vibrations without the harshness of piezos. The result is a guitar that delivers natural acoustic tone in any situation and at any volume with the only squeals coming from the front row of the moshpit. The Epiphone SST Studio Guitar is not just capable of mind-blowing acoustic tone at high volumes without feedback. The Epiphone SST Studio is equipped with a SlimTaper mahogany neck, a smooth 24-fret rosewood fingerboard, and acoustic steel strings.
